These Libbey glasses are really exceptional, at least for me. I first got a set of them as a present; they were bought at a discontinued-items store. Later, I was very pleased to find them on Amazon. In the meantime, we broke several of the taller glasses and I intend to buy another set. They certainly will be a subject of discussion at the next time you invite your friends.

These glasses have a good weight and a very nice design...as long as you like the odd shape. For those who want to escape the boring and mundane.

When I bought these, it was more or less impulse justified by good reviews. The glasses definitely draw attention, and I've never had one break (despite me being quite clumsy with them). However, they're very impractical. I curse at them whenever I have to wash them. They don't fit into anything well: cupholders, dishwashers, shelves, anything. Although their design is unusual and aesthetically appealing, I've never really liked them when drinking from them. I much prefer drinking from my Mom's set of Mexican glasses or even plain glass jars. These might be fun if you have other 'regular' glasses, but I really wouldn't recommend them if they're going to be your only set.

every guest of mine likes them. shape makes them feel very "grippable", only complain is that they do break like any other glasses.

These are cool looking glasses and with decent strength (none has broken so far). But the quality of these are average. The reason I say that is at the curves, you can see and feel a glass joint line. It varies from piece to piece and is very prominent in few. Overall they are okay glasses for everyday. I was expecting more based on other reviews but you get what you paid for.
