I received exactly what I had hoped for. My main purpose in using glass was to avoid being poisoned by Chinese glazes...afterall, they have proven to be unreliable.
ALL dozen plates arrived in perfect condition. They were marked MADE IN MEXICO. They did not have any indication that they were made by LIBBEY, but who cares ?
Each plate has a TEENEY TINY number embossed on the bottom in a corner. They do not make any numerical sense to me. I have numbers ranging from 3 to 72...two of them are number 18. They are hardly barely noticeable...but a consumer SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD !
I do LOVE how the square plates stack perfectly in my cupboard.
MY ONLY REGRET is that I wish I had purchased the Italian made square glass plates for a tad more money as they come in colours. I'm particularly drawn to the milk glass white and the red. I think they make food look better. The plain glass can be a bit disconcerting at first. But, they'll do for now...

I wondered why this plate was rated so low - I wondered what on earth could be wrong with it! But what's wrong is that people saw what any rational person would judge to be a typo or a mistake "12 plates for $2.99" and ordered them hoping to get something for nothing and then got mad when they did not and rated the plate so low people just glancing at the rating won't buy it. Nonsense...who really believes you are going to get 12 glass plates from Libby for $2.99? My five stars is just bring the rating up a bit, I've seen these dishes and they are very nice.

i was one of those who had the reviewed experience of ordering the dishes at this insane price of 2.99 for a set of 12....obviously a misprint, as the deal was too good to be true. HOWEVER, because of the error the company let us keep the dishes (1 of each item...not 12) and refunded the money. And I must tell you the dishes are absolutely beautiful! I am ordering a full set at the corrected price because they are well worth it! It is unfortunate because of this misprint that some people got mad and gave bad reviews causing the rating to be so low!

It is a shame about this product. I ordered the set of TWELVE bowls, TWELVE salad plates, and TWELVE dinner plates. I received THREE items in total.
I called Bealls customer service and they never called me back. No response from my calling or from my numerous emails. What kind of reputable company cannot honor the price they offered a product at?
I filed a claim with Amazon and Amazon refunded my money. It's too bad that Amazon had to pay for the negligence of a company.
It would have been one thing if Bealls had the courtesy to at least return my calls and emails explaining if there was an error and to see if there was anything that they could do to solve the problem. I got no reply. That type of customer service is completely unacceptable.
I will not purchase from them again and I encourage all consumers to be cautious in their purchasing items from them.
