They are fine for what they are - inexpensive, daily glassware. I've used them for several years (multiple sets) and gotten many compliments. They do break relatively easily, but they are easy and pretty inexpensive to replace. I'm happy to be able to get a set of only the drinking glasses for a change!

I spotted this glassware in a restaurant we were in and I've been searching for a while. Well, low and behold right here on Amazon.com, (I should have known) here they are. I don't know what the fuss is about them breaking so easily. I read the reviews before I bought, but being familiar with Libby products, I bought them anyway. We use them everyday and I even put them in the dishwasher, NO PROBLEMS!!! The water doesn't set on top of the bottom of the glass as my top dishwasher rack is slanted, so no probs there. I think they are great, wonderful to hold, that indent on the glasses is just right to get a good grip and you can't beat the price. Oh, and I even put the glass in our refrigerator ice dispensor and the ice goes in fine, no breakage of the glassware.

Please Please Please do NOT buy these glasses! The quality is dangerously deplorable! The smaller size ones seems to be a bit thicker than the larger ones, which are the ones that get the most use! We have one left from a set of 8 (8 large/8 small.) I broke one putting ice in it. My husband broke one while washing it and we spent our Valentine's Day at the ER. Two broke because they clinked together while being put away. And last night, I was drinking ice water. As I raised the glass to my mouth, the ice shifted, and the glass broke while I was drinking! We've stepped on pieces and had to pick pieces out of the sink. These cups are horrible!
Edit: I forgot to add, we've been buying these cups from Target for years. We do replace the set every couple years, but most people need to replace glasses periodically. This set was a recent gift from BedBathandBeyond, and the quality has dropped to a lawsuit-inducing level! All the cups broke within the first two weeks. If you read a good review, check the date on it...the quality control department must have been laid off. Be safe!

The other reviewers are right! Don't buy these! I purchased a set of 16 and have one left. I have NEVER had glasses that break like these. The shape of the base seems to be the problem. They crack for no apparent reason, at the base. I had one sitting on the counter, 5 minutes after I took it out of the cooled dishwasher, and it cracked. Another cracked while sitting in the cabinet, 30 minutes after being put away. Several cracked when we poured chilled beverages or put ice into the glass. VERY STRANGE! We really liked the shape and feel, but would not buy again! However, they were an experience!

Glasses are very nice; sadly they do chip in dishwasher.
